All photos were captured with digital cameras. Before
June 2002, I used a Kodak DC240i which shot up to 1 megapixel.
These images are suitable for the web or for small prints.
In June 2002, I began using a Canon Powershot G2 four megapixel
camera - which I grew very fond of and wore completely out after tens
of thousands of captured images. In June 2004 I replaced it with its
nearly identical successor, the Canon Powershot G3.
Images will easily print up to 8.5x11. All photos on this site have
been reduced to smaller pixel dimensions AND compressed as a JPEG for
quick page-load times. A full sized image right out of the camera looks
something like this.
(2MB image in new window. Broadband recommended.)
I use a Tiffen .75x wide angle converter lens and a Tiffen 2x telephoto
converter lens.
At times I feel like the images I present in this website are just pale
fascimiles of the true images. But to keep the site fast-loading and
bloat-free, there must be a compromise. I hope that you're able to look
through some of the technical limitations and enjoy the beauty of the
world as I've tried to capture it.
